It has great potential in the fields of basic research, sensors, semiconductors, flexible displays and new energy batteries. However, graphene has not been firmly established as the “king of new materials”. Another kind of nano material with more potential is born, which is called bornene. Both of them belong to two-dimensional materials, but they are stronger, lighter, more flexible and more prone to chemical reactions than graphene. Due to its high surface activity and easy chemical reaction, it is more suitable to store metal ions in batteries. Therefore, boronene is an ideal electrode material. Secondly, hydrogen ions are more likely to adhere to the two-dimensional structure surface of boronene. Due to its large surface area, boron alkene can store more than 15% of its own weight of hydrogen, so it has a natural advantage in the storage of hydrogen fuel. In addition, it can decompose hydrogen into hydrogen ions, water into hydrogen and oxygen, and reduce carbon dioxide. Therefore, it is also the most important catalyst.
