When Wang shuqun took the examination for intermediate workers, he got a good result of the second place in the whole factory, and the factory made him participate in a two-year senior technician training course. In January 1992, the manned space project was officially approved. It is also a coincidence that when the factory received the task of developing the docking mechanism of aerospace vehicles, Wang shuqun, who was training in the senior technician class, was transferred from the factory as a technical backbone. What is the docking mechanism? In short, the spaceship is like two concentric circles. “Docking” means that the edges of the two circles fit together accurately. The docking mechanism is used to connect the two spaceships “seamlessly” to transport astronauts and materials to the target aircraft. The difficulty lies in the fact that both aircraft weigh 8 tons. They can fly around the earth at a high speed of 300 kilometers away from the earth in two hours. Once the aircraft is launched into the sky, it is difficult to remedy it on the ground. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure that there is no risk in space docking. < / P > < p > in the workshop where Wang shuqun works, the main body of the docking mechanism is a ring with a diameter of about 1.5 meters. There are more than 100 sensors for measuring action, position and temperature, nearly 300 gears for transmitting force, more than 700 bearing combinations, more than 11000 fasteners, and tens of thousands of wires, connectors, sealing rings and other materials. < / P > < p > there are four plugs on the docking device, each of which has more than 5550 cores. There are more than 200 sockets in total. Rendezvous and docking requires that more than 200 sockets be inserted into the sockets accurately and synchronously. This is just like screwing screws with eyes closed in the space of complete weightlessness. Once the docking position and posture deviate slightly, the pins will be bent and the signal will disappear. In the docking mechanism, each set of single machine must pass various tests before final assembly. Among them, 31 sets of single machines in 10 categories still need to pass the thermal cycle test. One thermal cycle requires 37 hours of continuous test. Wang shuqun and his team work continuously for 37 hours each time. Every night when dozing, they wipe their faces with cold water; when they are hungry, they eat a few biscuits. In this way, 31 sets of single machine, they have done 31 tests for 37 hours, with firm will and faith, to ensure the continuity of the test and the accuracy of the test data.
